Heating specialist Ideal Heating has launched a new series of monobloc air heat pumps.

“The Ecomod 290HT has been specially designed for use in larger commercial buildings and can be used in cascade to achieve even higher yields,” the manufacturer said in a statement. “It reaches high temperatures of up to 75C while benefiting from an ultra-low global warming potential (GWP) of just three as a result of using R290 natural refrigerant.”

The new product is available in three versions with sizes of 15-18 kW, 27 kW and 40-50 kW.

The smallest heat pump measures 1,110 mm x 510 mm x 1,447 mm and weighs 174 kg. The heating power ranges from 15.84 kW to 18.77 kW and the seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) ranges from 4.76 to 5.02. The coefficient of performance (COP) is 4.94 for 15 kW and 4.36 for 18 kW.

The medium-sized system has dimensions of 1,610 mm x 710 mm x 1,270 mm and a weight of 285 kg. The heating power is 28 kW and the SCOP is 4.0. The COP reaches 4.54.

The largest product has the dimensions 1,895 mm x 1,110 mm x 1,980 mm and the weight is 535 kg. It offers a SCOP of 4.09 for 40 kW and 4.2 for 50 kW, while the COP ranges from 4.1 to 4.2 and the heating power is between 40.1 kW and 50 kW.

The manufacturer said that all models have a 5-year warranty and all represent a power of 7 C for air and 35 W for water.

“The heat pumps also include an inverter-controlled compressor to precisely match heat demand based on specific requirements, further improving a building’s efficiency,” the company said. “Ecomod 290HT heat pumps are quiet in use, with a noise level of only 64 dB(A).”
