Turn energya national renewable energy provider and independent power producer, has completed three community solar projects in Illinois, totaling 13,475 MWAC support from Tapestry, the parent company of accessory brands such as Coach and Kate Spade. In December 2025, Tapestry announced that it had invested in enough renewable electricity to cover energy production in its stores, offices and fulfillment centers worldwide.

“Pivot is excited to partner with Tapestry on this portfolio in Illinois,” said Liz Reddington, VP of development at Pivot Energy. “It shows how companies continue to advance sustainable energy solutions while supporting local communities for workforce development, education and more.”

The three new community solar projects in Illinois – financed, developed, owned and operated by Pivot – are located in Peoria, Dover and Ottawa. These are the first of five Pivot community solar projects to be developed and completed in Illinois and are part of a 15-year agreement with Tapestry, which will purchase renewable energy credits produced by the projects. Construction on the two remaining solar projects in Illinois’ portfolio is expected to be completed by 2030.

For the five projects in this partnership, Pivot plans to contribute more than $115,000 to support local initiatives. To date, nearly $65,000 has been donated to two Illinois organizations, Illinois Central College (ICC) and HIRE360, to fund employee training programs that expand access to solar careers across the state. The remaining funds will be donated over the coming years as the other two projects reach major construction milestones.

“These solar projects in Illinois mark an important milestone in Tapestry’s sustainable energy strategy. Our partnership with Pivot Energy has been instrumental in achieving 100% renewable electricity in our own operations, an important step toward achieving our science-based climate goals,” said Logan Duran, global head of ESG and sustainability at Tapestry. “This collaboration shows how we integrate sustainability into the way we work and invest in solutions that have a measurable impact on our business and the planet.”
