Imperial Star Solarwhich will begin assembling modules from its Texas facility before the end of the year, announced it has entered into a multi-year supply agreement with Suniva for American-made solar cells. Market availability of solar panels with Suniva cells will start in the first half of 2025.

“This partnership with Suniva exemplifies Imperial Star Solar’s mission to enable excellence in American solar energy,” said Isabella Xu, CEO of Imperial Star Solar. “By integrating Suniva’s domestically produced solar cells into our modules, we are strengthening a U.S. supply chain that prioritizes quality, control and energy security.”

Suniva recently restarted solar cell production in Georgia. Imperial Star Solar will operate a 2 GW solar panel factory in Tomball, Texas.

“We are excited to partner with Imperial Star, who shares our vision for a growing and secure solar supply chain in the United States.” said Cristiano Amoruso, CEO of Suniva. “Suniva continues to lead the way by building America’s largest and only source of American-made solar cells while proving that strengthening American energy security, creating American jobs and sustaining a vibrant solar energy industry are very consistent objectives.”
