Ina Solar to build the 3 GW cell production line in India

Ina Solar is building a production line of 3 GW solar cells in Central India, as part of a broader expansion that includes 4 GW module capacity and production of aluminum frame. It is intended to start construction against the first quarter of 2026 and to start mid -2027.

Ina Solar has signed a declaration of intent with China-featured SC Exact equipment for a 3 GW Turnkey solar cell production line in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh.

The company is developing a facility in Narmadapuram with a planned capacity for 4 GW of solar modules, 3 GW solar cells and 54,000 tonnes of aluminum frame production. It has the country.

Ina Solar said it is expected to start construction by the first quarter of the tax year 2026 and start the first half of the tax 2027 operations on the 3 GW solar cell line.

The company is currently producing mono-passivated emitter and rear cell (PERC) and tunneloxide Passivated Contact (Topcon) N-type modules in the Rajasthan facility, which has a capacity of 950 MW. It also builds a 3 GW solar moduleline in Jaipur and expects it to become operational within the next four to six weeks.
