The mnre of India has suggested, including solar waffles under the Almm in a movement aimed at promoting domestic production in the entire value chain of solar cells. The Almm for solar waffles is in force from 1 June 2028.

The Almm mechanism was originally introduced by Mnre to protect domestic manufacturers against dumping Chinese sun products. According to this framework, only models and manufacturers in the ALMM are eligible to participate in the government supported by the government.

Almm currently applies to solar modules and solar cells, respectively mentioned under Almm List-I and Almm-list-II. Under the proposed framework, all projects that fall under ALMM will be needed to find PV modules of models and manufacturers mentioned in ALMM-List-I, cells used in these modules stated in Almm-list-II and waffles used in these cells from manufacturers of manufacturers who are included in the new Almm-list.

Projects that are exempt from the use of ALMM-Gente solar cells will also receive an exemption from the use of ALMM-Gente Waffels.

The ministry said that Almm-list-III will only be issued for waffles if it contains at least three waffle production units that are independently active and with an aggregated waffle production capacity of 15 GW per year.

To be mentioned in ALMM for waffles, a manufacturer must also have the production capacity of Ingot that is equal to the production capacity of the wafer that he intends to register.

Projects that fall under ALMM and offer before the closing date-one month after the issue of the first ALMM-Waflijst-Zullen from the requirement to use Waffles of Almm-list-III, even if it is dedicated after the effective date of 1 June 2028.

Projects that fall under ALMM with deadlines for submitting bids after the closing date must contain a clause in their tender documents that require Solar PV modules, cells and waffles that come from the models and manufacturers mentioned in Almm List-i, Almmmm list-list-II and.

From the effective date, only solar PV modules that use cells from Almm-List-II, which in turn use waffles from Almm-list-III, in ALMM list-I.
