Jakson Engineers to invest $ 913 million in 6 GW Solar Plant – PV Magazine International

Jakson Engineers Ltd. Will invest more than INR 80 billion ($ 912.7 million) to build a 6 GW Zonne-Wafer-to-module factory in Madhya Pradesh, with modules that are expected in May 2026 and cells in September 2026.

Jakson Engineers, part of the Jakson Group of Energie en Infrastructure Conglomerate, will invest more than INR 80 billion to build a 6 GW integrated solar module, cell and wafers factory in Maki Phase II in Madhya Pradesh.

The project will be developed in two phases on a 110 -hectare site that has recently been assigned to the company. Site -work starts within 15 days. In phase I, Jakson will instruct 3 GW to solar modules and 3 GW of solar cells with an investment of approximately 20 billion. Phase II adds a 6 GW solar way plant and another 3 GW of modules and cells, with an investment of more than Inr 60 billion.

The first solar modules of the plant are expected in May 2026, followed by cells in September 2026.

“This is a memorable opportunity for our company and a big leap forward for the Indian renewable energy sector,” said Sundep Gupta, vice chairman of Jakson Group. “Our investment in Maksi is proof of our relentless dedication to ‘make in India’ and immediately supports the ambitious goals of the nation.

Gagan Chanana, joint director and CEO of Jakson Solar Modules and Cellen, noted that the global demand for solar energy is increasing. Chanana claimed that the integrated ‘four-in-one’ model of the company will help meet the energy needs of India, lower costs, speed technology implementation and the strengthening of energy breach.

Madhya Pradesh was selected for the project because of the central location, infrastructure, investor -friendly environment and policy for renewable energy policy. The factory is expected to create more than 1,000 jobs during construction and around 1,400 permanent positions as soon as they are operational.
