Aiko Solar says it has recorded a sharp decline in net profit and revenue in the first half of 2024. The company attributes the losses to significant asset impairments. The company reported a 232% increase in sales of p-type PERC and n-type ABC modules, totaling 12.84 GW and 1.62 GW respectively, while significant asset write-downs as a key factor in losses were cited.

Ginlong Solis said it posted a 43.84% decline in net profit to CNY352 million ($49.6 million) in the first six months of this year, despite a 3.20% increase in revenue to CNY3.355 billion. The company also noted a significant increase in costs over the reporting period.

Good us said net profit fell sharply as sales declined in the first half of 2024. The company said inverter sales fell nearly 34% to about 278,500 units, storage inverter sales fell 81% to about 22,600 units, and storage battery sales fell 45% to about 132 MWh over the January-June period . R&D investments rose 24% to CNY 265 million, while foreign revenues fell sharply to 35% of total revenues from 75% in the same period a year earlier.

Autowell said it has won a contract worth CNY 900 million to supply PV production equipment, including monocrystalline furnaces, to an unspecified overseas solar company. It said it has completed all necessary procedures and will not reveal the identity of the counterparty, with delivery expected to improve performance in 2025.
