Lithuania has completed his most important purchasing of energy storage after receiving overwhelming interest of potential beneficiaries. The Ministry of Energy said this week that the country is planning to use 1.7 GW/4 GWH of energy storage capacity to guarantee the flexibility and reliability of its electricity system.

“Lithuania is planning to install more than 4,000 MWh in electricity storage facilities – this is an important step to strengthen the energy energy system and to guarantee the development of renewable energy,” said Energie -Energimantas Vaičiūnas. “Such capacities will ensure greater resilience, flexibility and protection of the electricity system, which will also contribute to the stability of electricity prices.
