The summer edition of pv magazine takes to the beaches to pursue the solar energy advances being developed on island nations around the world. Ranging from Mauritius to Réunion and from the Caribbean to the Orkneys, we look at solar energy on small islands and consider new mining techniques to meet the rising global demand for lithium as a battery material.

Jolywood technology said it has postponed its residential solar distributed development agreement with Shanghai Yuan Ye New Energy due to unfavorable PV market conditions. The original plan was to develop an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project with an initial capacity of 1.2 GW and a minimum annual increase of 1.5 GW from the second to the fifth year, with the aim of more than 7.2 GW of total installed capacity within five years. years. However, according to the company, this plan is now on hold.
