Silicon Solar Cell manufacturer Es Foundry announced a multi-year agreement to deliver 300 MW of the US-made solar cells to Bila Solar, a manufacturer of the Interior solar module.

The solar cells are made in Greenwood, South Carolina. This strategic partnership between ES Foundry and Bila Solar emphasizes the growing demand for solar technology produced in their own country and the continuous shift to relocating critical production.

“This agreement with Bila Solar underlines the increasing market confidence in American-made solar cells,” said Ken Johnston, vice-president of sale at Es Foundry. “By working together with a progressive module manufacturer such as Bila Solar, we expand access to very efficient solar products and stimulate the growth of domestic production. This reduces dependence on import and strengthens the US as a global leader in the production of clean energy. “

Es Foundry’s Solar Cell Manufacturing Facility in South Carolina started production at the beginning of 2025 and supplied a very efficient monocrystalline Bifacial Perc (Passivated Emitter and back contact) solar cells. Solar Power World toured the site at the end of January – Read about this here.

Bila Solar is a new manufacturer of solar panel located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The company recently completed an adjustment of a former Eli Lilly factory and the patented ultra-light weight solar panels are already in production. In addition, the company announced in January that it would expand its product lines with conventional 550-W glass and aluminum frame modules, which contain solar cells produced in their own country.

These modules can help solar developers to access the 10% domestic bonus credit of the ITC, in particular on ground mounting projects such as Fixed-Tilt and Carport sun applications. The production of the new Line of Bila Solar from Interior Celvis modules starts in May.

Both companies will exhibit at the upcoming Intersolar North America & Energy Storage North America Conference, 25 to 27 February, in the San Diego Convention Center.

“With 100% of our products made in Indianapolis, Bila Solar strives to deliver powerful solar modules produced in its own country,” said Mick McDaniel, general manager of Bila Solar. “Since the American Treasury has published its Safe Harbor guidelines with regard to the 10% domestic content bonus credit, we have seen more interest in a module produced by the US with a solar cell made by the US. Bila Solar is enthusiastic as one of the first companies to offer this product on the market. “
