Italian designer and manufacturer of solar inverters FIMER has been officially acquired by MA Solar Italy Limited, affiliated with the McLaren Applied Group. The acquisition will enable FIMER to complete its restructuring process and achieve renewed financial strength with more than $51 million in investments. This important development now enables FIMER to fully concentrate on its business development activities and pursue growth opportunities.

McLaren Applied is a provider of advanced engineering and technology solutions across a range of sectors including motorsport, automotive and public transport. The technological synergies between FIMER and McLaren Applied are expected to drive innovation, improve operational efficiency and support market growth, including entry into new sectors beyond photovoltaics.

“We are pleased that the acquisition of FIMER by MA Solar Italy Limited has been formalized,” said Nick Fry, Chairman of McLaren Applied. “FIMER has a leading market position with an established industrial footprint in inverter design and manufacturing. Above all, FIMER has a highly talented and committed workforce, which is its key asset, similar to the culture and ambition of our team at McLaren Applied. We see many areas of complementary development and an exciting future for FIMER.”
