SunTrain hopes to transport renewable energy via battery-powered trains, charged by solar and wind energy, through rail networks.

SunTrain, a US-based energy transportation innovator, is tackling the challenge of renewable energy distribution with a new solution: battery-powered trains that travel fully charged from sunny and windy locations to where the energy is needed.

The company was founded in 2021 on the concept of transporting energy, in the same way that oil and coal are transported by rail for use to remote locations.
