National Grid Renewables Started with the construction of the Sycamore Creek Solar Project in Crawford County, Ohio, which once operational, will supply 117 MW of solar energy and generate an estimated $ 27 million in direct economic benefits for the local community.

“We have a long -term dedication to continue solutions for sustainable energy for the inhabitants of Ohio,” said Joe Ibrahim, VP of the construction of National Grid Renewables. “Sycamore Creek is our fifth solar project to start construction in the state, and we want to thank Ohioans for their support while we continue to grow our portfolio in Ohio.”

During the construction of the project, Sycamore Creek will support around 160 building tracks. The project is contracted with Kiewit Power Constructors As the engineering, purchasing and construction partner, with whom National Grid Renewables has entered into a partnership with the four previous OHIO projects.

“We are proud to continue our partnership with national grid -new energy sources on the Sycamore Creek Solar Project,” said Brian Koller, VP of Kiewit Power Constructors. “Together we build up a sustainable future and we create considerable economic benefits for the communities that we serve. This still marks a milestone in our shared dedication to promote solutions for clean energy in Ohio. “

Sycamore Creek will expand the Ohio portfolio of National Grid Renewables to more than 675 MW under construction and operational projects in the state of Buckeye. The project follows Yellowbud Solar – the first and largest project in the Ohio portfolio – which announced operations at the end of 2023, and current construction projects, Dodson Creek Solar, Ross County Solar and Fayette Solar.
