New farmers who drive Communities Partnership is intended to expand the Zonne -Zonne -Zonne -Energy

Reactivate, an InensEnergy Company, American Farmland Trust (AFT) and Nobles Renewables Community Solar have announced their newly formed partnership, Farmers who feed communities (FPC)To bring solar projects on a community scale to American farmers and rural communities. The mission of FPC is to connect those who work to feed the planet with those who feed America, using the development of solar energy to maximize the benefits for farmers, cattle farmers and rural communities.

Led by three organizations that approach clean energy from different perspectives, FPC wants to deliver tangible benefits to Americans, their local communities and their country:

  • Protection of agricultural land and farming families by assessing land productivity, versatility and resilience (PVR), while identifying built environment and marginal grounds for solar siting
  • Agrivoltaics promote, demonstrating how the development of agriculture and the development of clean energy can be intentionally and successfully integrated
  • Delivery of locally generated, accessible energy solutions that offer direct savings to households, non-profit organizations and small businesses, especially in the countryside and working class that are confronted with high energy bills
  • Creating American jobs and training opportunities for workforce
  • Generating tax revenues and stimulating economic growth for local host communities

“This is a game -changing new partnership that concentrates the needs of agricultural communities in the development of projects for renewable energy projects,” said Nathan L’Etoile, director of the National Farm viability, American Farmland Trust. “By using custom data and allocation aids that have been developed by AFT, we will ensure that all projects are tailored to our smart solar principles and deliver real, positive benefits for farmers, farmers and rural communities.”

Reactivate was chosen as the exclusive developer of FPC for his proven track record as a life cyclus partner, who delivers community -oriented Clean Energy Solutions, supported by a seasoned team with extensive experience in project implementation.

This new partnership builds on the growing national smart sun network of AFT and will initially focus on regions where the preservation of agricultural land and the demand for clean energy are both urgent priorities.

The partners expect to announce their first projects later this year.
