Nex trackerA Solar Tracker company, has taken over the US Bentek Corporation, a manufacturer of electrical infrastructure that is used in all types of solar energy plants.

The all-cash transaction of approximately $ 78 million combines Bentek’s developed, pre-mounted electrical balance of systems (EBOs) solutions with Nexpracker’s Solar Tracker platform, which offer customers purchasing and project logistics of a single source. The EBOS products are offered as independent, industrial compatible components for both trackers and fixed tilt systems, and optimized in formats for use in integrated system solutions for NX Horizon-one of the NexTracker tracker offers.

“It is fantastic to join forces with Bentek and the Nexpracker platform with exceptional Ebos products and expertise,” said Howard Wenger, president of Nextracker. “Together we can offer fully developed, integrated solutions that can help to accelerate purchasing and construction period lines and reduce installed costs, all supported by the familiar brand NexTracker. We believe that an integrated design approach can unlock synergies between the mechanical and electric and powerful sunne -Energie platform platform platform. “

This acquisition continues the strategy of Nexpracker to include complementary technologies in the Tracker platform of the company to speed up the construction of solar energy plant, to increase performance and improve reliability in the long term.

“SOLV is very happy that Nexpracker has entered the Ebos production. We have encouraged them to take this step to bring their operational excellence and financial strength to electric products that support solar energy plants,” said George Hershman, CEO of SOLV Energy. “Bentek was a great choice for Nexpracker. SOLV has been using their reliable and high -quality products for many years and is a current customer.”

EBOS technologies include the electrical infrastructure that is used in all solar projects on utility scale to collect electricity from solar panels and transport it to electricity conditions systems in the entire Zonneveld. Bentek has been offering patented Ebos technologies for the American solar industry for more than 15 years.

“Today is an exciting day for Nexpracker and for American solar production,” said Dan Shugar, founder and CEO of Nexpracker. “In zonne-schaal op utility-schaal zijn EBOS-kwaliteit en betrouwbaarheid van cruciaal belang voor het uptime van het systeem en ROI op de lange termijn. Bentek is een bewezen EBOS-innovator en pionier met verschillende families van IP en uitgegeven octrooien. De financiële middelen van Nextracker, technologie-inzicht en supply chain-expertise zal Bentek in staat stellen snel te schalen.”

Bentek’s EBOS solutions include:

  • Trunk Bus Solutions -Electric DC -Gathering strategy that combines PV -harness and insulation -piercing -connector technology to connect panels with inverters. This solution consolidates wiring in the tracker rows and routes the power directly to inverters and is designed to lower labor costs in the field, improve reliability and reduce maintenance during the life of the system.
  • Combiner Box Solutions-Electric DC collection strategy that combines PV-Harnas with the help of a pre-designed and manufactured combination box to connect panels to inverters. In general mounted on the tracker rows to combine strings in the field in the field and to deliver electricity to inverters, this approach is a plug-and-play solution.
  • Configurable harness solutions-on size made for each project, connect both string and over-cases harnesses multiple PV strings parallel to plug-and-play DC aggregation. These solutions have a factory manufactured overs and joints, which makes configurations for a series of cable grottes and connectort types possible.
