Nominations open for Solar Builder’s Project of the Year Awards 2026

It’s that time of year again! Solar Builder is now accepting nominations for the Project of the Year Awards 20226. The deadline for submissions is September 4, 2026.

Solar builder strives to highlight the most striking PV projects in the solar energy sector every year. Was the design and installation innovative? Did it overcome a challenge in a new way? Did it help a community? Any inventive, interesting or impactful PV project – large or small – is eligible. We just need it You to tell us about them.

Eligible projects must be located in North America. Construction and installation must be completed between December 1, 2025 and September 4, 2026. And permission to operate must be expected no later than December 31, 2026.

What happens next?

Once the entries are in, Solar builder The editors select a field of finalists from the nominations based on merit and meeting the eligibility requirements. Readers can then vote for their favorite projects in September/October. The top voters will be featured in the Q4 magazine and in an exclusive online editorial. SB editors will also select their favorites as winners of the Editors’ Choice award.

Pro tips: The more information you provide, the better. Sell ​​it to us, because what you submit will also be used in the online vote. And remember: this is a publication for solar professionals, so nerdy project technical insight is welcome and encouraged. Great photos and YouTube videos are a nice touch too.
