Messick Farm Equipment, a provider of agricultural equipment and services in central Pennsylvania and beyond, has made a strategic investment in solar energy to enhance its operational efficiency and reduce energy costs. The company partnered with Paradise Energy Solutions to complete a 1.07-MW roof-mounted solar system at its corporate headquarters in Mount Joy.

This solar installation, one of Paradise Energy Solutions’ largest roof-mounted systems in Pennsylvania, includes over 2,200 photovoltaic panels and is projected to offset nearly 100% of the facility’s annual electricity usage.

Kevin Messick, corporate administrator at Messick’s Farm Equipment, highlighted the financial benefits of the investment: “Our operations are energy-intensive, and exploring solar was a smart financial decision for us. Paradise Energy Solutions demonstrated that going solar makes good financial sense by significantly reducing our electricity costs.”

The solar array will allow Messick to redirect savings from energy costs toward expanding its services and better serving Pennsylvania’s agricultural community.

“As energy costs rise, efficient energy use becomes increasingly important,” Messick noted. “By offsetting our consumption, we can invest more resources into expanding our services and reaching more customers.”

Messick also praised the collaboration with Paradise Energy Solutions: “The installation went very smoothly, and we are very pleased with their work. Whenever we have questions, they are quick to respond. They are great people and a pleasure to partner with.”
