More than 130 companies A letter signed Placed to senators John Fetterman (D) and Dave McCormick (R) demand that they protect federal tax credits that run the risk of returning to the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill Act’ by President Donald Trump. These subsidies from the Inflation Reduction Act include the Residential Clean Energy Credit (25D), Clean Hydrogen Production Tax Credit (45V), Advanced Manufacturing Production Tax Credit (45X), Clean Electricity Production Tax Credit (45y). Clean Electricity).

Proponents and members of the industry gathered at the entrance of the historic city building on Grant Street in the center of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on the afternoon of 11 June to hear from local companies in the field of solar and energy efficiency.

“We are here today to talk about things and what is good for and what is good for our economy and our employees,” said Jeaneen Zappa, executive director of the Keystone Energy Efficiency Alliance. “And what is not good is the bill that is currently for the US Senate for budget credits and reconciliation. It unraveled a variety of tax credits that are designed to encourage things, private capital and investments and to stimulate energy -efficiency and energy development. And this invoice structure is for a complete recovery of these measures.”

From 2024, the solar industry of Pennsylvania employs More than 4,000 peopleAccording to the Solar Energy Industries Association. But organizers of events claimed that these tax cuts can find more than 100,000 jobs in other energy industries in the state and Pennsylvania Citizens and Businesses of Energy Cost can rob the savings.

“These are not red or blue electrons that we put on the grid – they are just electrons, and they produce energy for all of us, because we need it to feed our lives,” said Sharon Pillar, founder and executive director of the Pennsylvania Solar Center. “And really, what is more American than generating your own electricity on your own property?”

Fetterman has publicly supported Expansion of renewable energy, but has also made the storage of the local careers in the fossil fuel industry, such as natural gas, a priority. In the meantime, McCormick was co-author of the International Nuclear Energy Financing Act, a bill that encourages the development of nuclear energy, in the Senate in May.

That letter signed by Pennsylvania companies in affected industries and other supporting groups was ended by a crowd with signs with the text “Energy Freedom for Pennsylvania” and “Pennsylvania deserves affordable energy.” The group was led by speakers of events that delivered the letters directly to the offices of Fetterman and McCormick.

“Today I am not only here as a business owner,” said Joe Morinville, president of the local solar contractor Solar requirement. “I am here because someone is deeply concerned about what the recently adopted large, beautiful house account will do to 50 large, beautiful Pittsburgh families that depend on my company. With a pen of a pen, this account immediately eliminates the investment tax credit, the inflation reduction law courage is not only a line in the budget.”
