Anker introduced a new solar-powered umbrella at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The umbrella is integrated with thin and foldable perovskite solar cells and supports 100W power via USB-C and XT-60 ports.

Perovskite solar cells are an emerging technology that offers an alternative to conventional silicon-based solar cells. While silicon solar cells today have a maximum efficiency of about 24% and a theoretical limit of about 30%, perovskite solar cells can reach an efficiency of about 40%, allowing more energy production to be packed into a smaller surface area.

Perovskite solar cells are praised for their high efficiency, thin and lightweight profile and flexibility. A disadvantage, however, is that the durability of these materials is not yet equal to that of silicon solar cells.

The sun parasol is intended for use with the Anker Solix EverFrost electric cool box. The cooler has a removable 288 Wh battery.

Three sizes are available for the cool box, including 23 liters, 40 liters and 58 liters. The company said the battery provides about 52 hours of cooling on a single charge, but more batteries can be swapped out if you need more power. The solar parasol also continuously charges the battery when the sun shines, extending the total cooling time for one battery.

The 58 liter option has two separate compartments, allowing simultaneous freezing and cooling.

The products have an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.

Anker said the sun umbrella will be available in the summer of 2025, but the price has not yet been announced. The electric cooler goes on sale on February 21 and starts at $699.

Also at CES 2025, Jackery debuted one solar roof tileand EcoFlow launched one energy management system for homes.
