“Projects such as Ash Creek Solar offer thoughtful energy solutions to meet consumer needs, to stimulate the value in the long term and to strengthen the energy independence of America,” said Primergy CEO Ty Daul. “We are proud to work with Microsoft, our local stakeholders and the broader community of Hill County to ensure that this project provides reliable and affordable energy to the grid, together with the economic growth for the community for the coming years.”

During its operational lifespan, the project will offer an estimated $ 100 million in tax payments to Hill County. In addition to creating jobs and tax benefits, Primergy and SOLV -EnergyThe engineering, purchasing and construction partner for the project, invested in local education through Heart of America School Transformation Projects for the Independent School Districts Abbott and Penelope.

Last year, Primergy announced $ 588 million in project financing for the construction of the project, and an additional commitment of $ 350 million to tax stock financing, so that the total capital for Ash Creek Solar was committed at almost $ 1 billion.

Ash Creek Solar was originally developed by Orion Power Generation, a joint venture between Orion Renewable Energy Group and Eolian. The development started in 2016 and Primergy took over the project in 2021.
