Today Savion has announced the start of the commercial operation of Kiowa County Solar Project (KCSP) in Kiowa County, Oklahoma. The 100-MW solar facility is the first project of the company that is being developed, built and owned by Savion in the State.

Construction started in August 2023 and ended in December 2024 with the 1,235 hectare project, which includes more than 189,000 bifacial solar panels. A long-term PPA is equipped with a Fortune 100 technology company for taking the full capacity of the facility.

Located in southwestern Oklahoma, adjacent to the city of Snyder, the solar project is expected to produce enough energy to feed around 21,000 Oklahoma houses every year in the next 40 years. The project will connect to each other in an AEP under station and connect to the Southwest Power Pool.

SOLV Energy treats EPC work for the site, and Shell Renewable Asset Management International (SRAMI) supervises assets management.

“Bringing Savion’s Operational Assive Print to Kiowa County Solar Project and our mission underlines to own and exploit solar facilities that contribute to the American Power Grid Energy Infusion,” said Nick Lincon, president of Savion. “Launching this project is a new milestone on the trip of Savion to become an independent power producer, with more facilities.”
