Schneider Electric acquiring Home Electrical Insight Software Wattbuy

WattbuyA software company that offers energy insights and electrification solutions for residential customers has announced that it has been taken over by Schneider Electric. Together with the current management team, CEO and co-founder Naman Trivedi will continue to lead the activities of Wattbuy.

Wattbuy will collaborate with Schneider Electric Subsidiarias EnergySage and Qmerit to offer an end-to-end experience for homeowners who treat everything, from personalized energy plans and solar installations to EV charger deployment and upgrades for home electrification.

“Electrification is the determining chance of the next decade – and it starts with empowering consumers,” said Jaser Faruq, SVP, Prosumer at Schneider Electric. “The personalization possibilities of Wattbuy and Intelligence Engine are the perfect addition to the Mission of EnergySage of transparency and choice. By integrating Wattbuy into our growing Prosumer Energy Portfolio, we unlock a future where every household can make smarter and the installation of the purchase – experience – experience – experience – experience – experience – experience – experience – experience.”

Wattbuy uses its own data models to provide customized recommendations for electricity plans, solar energy, battery storage and total energy costs based on the consumer’s address and energy consumer profile.
