Silfab acquires advanced production technology with return contact from ENPV

Silfab Solar has taken over the technological patent portfolio of ENPV with advanced recovery designs for solar cells.

EnpvThe Solar Technology division of EnbwAn energy supply company in Germany, developed Topcon production process. The flagship design, self -guineaway back contact (SABC), will immediately be integrated into the production efforts of Silfab. The method allows precise alignment and improved electrical performance in cell and module manufacturing, which will support the continuous innovation in Silfab’s Elite series of solar panels that use a conductive and unique recovery designs afterwards.

Silfab will also keep the trademark of SABC technology.

“Silfab Solar is at the forefront of the integration of innovative solar cells and modules by investing in new technology specifically designed for the American market,” said Paolo Maccario, Silfab President and CEO. “The acquisition of these advanced technologyocentries and intellectual property will enable us to develop the next generation of solar panels for the Silfab Elite Series and beyond, so that we continue to offer our customers high -quality, powerful solar modules in the US in the US, while maintaining and protecting strategically important European and American innovation.”

As part of the agreement with EnPV, Silfab will also acquire a team of solar experts who continue to promote pioneering with the technology and the PV solutions for the next generation for Silfab.
