SMA America introduced two larger power classes in his sunny Boy residential solar inverter line.
SMA America introduced two new hybrid inverters for residential solar projects with a larger solar capacity. The Sunny Boy Smart Energy -Omvermers include a model of 9.6 kW and a model of 11.5 kW.
The DC-linked inverter makes both immediate energy consumption from the solar panel and storage in a battery, with both functions in one device. The SMA inverter makes up to 200% DC oversizing, to support the production of solar production and battery chargingout well.
The inverters contain 3 or 4 maximum power point optimizing channels, depending on the selected model. SMA’s Shadyfix software supports the output of the solar -Array in partially shaded conditions.
Homeowners can also offer a partial backup power to the house without storing battery energy. The back -up function of the inverter can deliver up to 1,920 W backup power when the sun is shining and the grid is down. In combination with energy storage, the inverter can support the entire clock backup power. The company said that there will soon be an improved back -up function, which offers up to 5,700 W back -up power and supports a maximum of seven 120 V units.
In combination with the SMA energy meter, the inverters support production and consumption monitoring in real time, so that homeowners can adjust the self-consumption and efficiency of solar energy.
“Now that energy needs are becoming rising and raster stability more uncertain, homeowners need a solution that not only delivers electricity, but also provides control, resilience and long-term savings,” says Charles Smith, director of home and business solutions at SMA America. “The extensive Sunny Boy Smart Energy Portfolio is designed to meet those needs and offers a future -proof, intelligent energy system that adapts to the evolving schedule requirements.”
The two larger Power format models build on SMA America’s Sunny Boy Smart Energy Line with 3.8 kW, 4.8 kW, 5.8 kW and 7.7 kW models.
SMA America offers a 10 -year warranty with the option to extend to 25 years.
