Solamerica Energy celebrates the energy of two solar projects on the site, behind the meter for grain and protein technologies for its facilities in Paris and Taylorville, Ilinois. Together the projects are a total of 3.125 MWAC And will offer affordable electricity under two separate PPAs over the next 15 years.

Both projects benefit from Credits (REC) Credits (REC) in the context of the Illinois adjustable block program, making very competitive PPA rates possible. In the service of the customer’s sustainability goals, the projects also ask for the provision of individual green e-certified RECs to replace those RECs that have been sold in the context of the state program.

“Grain & Protein Technologies has been a great partner of Solamerica Energy in realizing these projects,” said Tully Blalock, CEO of Solamerica Energy. “The state of Illinois has also done an excellent job by creating a climate where solar energy can thrive. We are delighted to offer our customers cheap electricity generated by solar energy over the next 15 years.”
