Solar Insure launches commercial solar warranty solution with approved inverter suppliers

Insure solar energy has launched SI-Commercial, a new warranty solution to protect commercial solar projects. The company has also expanded its Approved Supplier List (AVL) to include more global inverter manufacturers for the commercial market.

SI-Commercial is designed for commercial solar energy systems up to 2 MWdirect current and provides long-term protection tailored to the realities of commercial project timelines, ownership structures and risk profiles. The warranty provides 30 years of panel coverage, 20 years of inverter coverage and includes parts and labor for covered repairs, supplementing the gaps left by standard manufacturer warranties.

As part of the launch, Solar Insure has expanded its AVL to include the following commercial systems manufacturers: Chint Power Systems (CPS), Hoymiles, SMA, SolarEdge, Solis, APsystems and Enphase. These additions increase equipment flexibility for commercial installers while maintaining Solar Insure’s stringent AVL qualification standards focused on performance durability, manufacturer stability and long-term serviceability.

Commercial solar projects introduce longer life cycles, greater capital exposure and increased scrutiny from financiers, property owners and procurement teams. SI-Commercial is built to meet these expectations by shifting long-term service and manufacturer risk from installers’ balance sheets to a structured, insurance-backed framework.

“Commercial solar energy requires a different level of responsibility,” said Ara Agopian, CEO of Solar Insure. “SI-Commercial is built to meet this reality by providing affordable protection that aligns with the way commercial projects are sold and serviced. It strengthens project bids, preserves margins and gives every stakeholder confidence in the asset long after occupancy.”

Each SI-Commercial warranty includes protection against manufacturer’s defects, backed by an AM Best A+ rated insurance company, ensuring continuity of coverage in the event of manufacturer’s insolvency.

For installers expanding or scaling within commercial solar, SI-Commercial provides a material advantage in competitive environments. By bundling equipment and long-term labor protections into a single, transferable warranty, installers can reduce future service exposure, simplify warranty management and provide a more credible, financially attractive offering to commercial buyers.

“SI-Commercial is not about adding another line item to your proposal,” said Dean Chiaravallotti, Chief Revenue Officer at Solar Insure. “It’s about changing the conversation about risk. Installers can lead with value, asset owners gain long-term certainty, and projects become easier to finance and defend over decades.”
