The stackable battery varies 4.9 kWh to 19.6 kWh per unit, while the inverter is available in vary from 3.8 kW to 13 kW. The company also introduced a meter socket adapter to prevent expensive main panel upgrades from being activated.
SolarEdge launched Nexis, a modular solar and energy storage system for residential projects. The integrated inverter and the stackable battery solution is available with batteries or as a standing PV system.
A single battery module adds 4.9 kWh, 3.5 kW of storage. Each battery papers is suitable for a maximum of four units, which are scales up to 19.6 kWh, 13 kW per stack. The battery supports both DC-linked and AC-linked solutions.
The stackable, modular battery is designed for flexibility in system dimensions and installation. It has a “simple click” architecture, which means that extra battery modules can be added without electrical wiring. The video below shows the installation process.
The integrated battery and inverter solution supports a backup of the entire home, partial backup of the home, shifting use time for use, energy arbitration and self-consumption.
Each battery block contains its own flow module, which, according to the company, supports more Back -up Power and System Efficiency. The LFP batteries have thermal protection at cell level to support fire safety. The battery is listed UL and IEC and is supported by a 10 -year warranty. Find the full datasheet on the stackable battery here.
Together with the Nexis-stackable battery, the Nexis-Omsorter, a DC-optimized inverter, comes with a weighted efficiency of 99%. With the DC linked solution, solar customers can install larger systems and at the same time activate when activating a main panelupgrade, which can later yield unexpected costs for homeowners in the installation process.
The inverter is available in various sizes ranging from 3.84 kW to 13 kW and supports both 240 V and 208 V installations. The inverter has an ACW capacity of 14.5 kW in position -Alone operation.
The device makes monitoring at module level possible, whereby the user is armed with production and consumption data of income quality. It contains built-in folding antennas and a ‘simple click’ connection without wire with the Nexis battery system.
Together the system makes a maximum of four batteries per inverter (up to 70.4 kWh) and a maximum of three inverters per site (211.2 kWh) possible. Find a complete Datasheet for the inverter here.
“Tackling the need for storage of home batteries, [the system] Offers the flexibility for customers to adapt their home sages to dynamic energy markets, “said Ronen Faier, Chief Executive Officer, SolarEdge.” In combination with our advanced software opportunities for energy management, we believe that this offers a differentiated solution for North American installers and homeowners. “
SolarEdge also announced the launch of the Nexis Islandder, a meter socket adapter from his partner Connectder. The meter collar is designed to support solar installations and at the same time prevent a main panelupgrade, which can vary between $ 1500 to $ 4,000 in extra costs. Find a data sheet on the Meter socket adapter solution here.
SolarEdge said that the rollout of the Nexis solution will start at the end of 2025. Watch the video below for a demonstration of the “Simple Click” installation process.
