Sungrow reveals 5 kWh Home Battery System – PV Magazine International

Chinese power electronics and battery storage heavyweight SungrowThe fact that it is best known for its products in the field of utility scale and system integration has released a new Residential Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

The 5.12 kWh lithium -iron phosphate (LFP) system comes with a compact design of 182 mm. It provides expansion of one to four units in parallel, which results in a maximum capacity of 20.48 kWh.

The SBS050 system is linked to the SHRS-20-Omwrow series of Sungrow and able to process a load/discharge flow of up to 50 A. A.

“This makes fast power output possible during grid fluctuations or peak demand, efficient support of powerful household appliances and reducing energy costs,” the manufacturer said.
