Trinasolar 150 MW Utility scale Agrivoltaic + storage project

Trina -Storage has released independently verified operational data from a 150 MW Utility scale Agrivoltaic + storage project. Performance evaluation was carried out by UL Solutions and the China Quality Certification Center (CQC), two worldwide recognized authorities of third parties. The project, part of a solar installation of Solar + Storage Hybrid Renewable Energy, has been in continuous operation for more than a year.

“In the course of more than a year, UL Solutions carried out a rigorous evaluation of the Feicheng project based on strict performance standards,” said Chen Chi, product manager in the Energy and Industrial Automation Group near Ul Solutions. “The system has consistently demonstrated optimum efficiency and cycle-lifference, and low auxiliary consumption during the monitoring period. These results indicate a solid level of technical integration and reliable performance under Real-World conditions.”

Trina Storage’s Elementa series at a glance

The project is powered by the Elementa series of Trina Storage, a flexible solution for energy storage built with the own internal battery cells of Trina Storage. The most important system characteristics include a smart thermal management system that holds the variation of the cell temperature within 3 ° C and the auxiliary consumption as low as 1.8%. Together, these possibilities reduce the energy loss by around 30% compared to conventional systems and contributions annually an estimated 200,000 kWh of extra electricity, which increases the total output and returns.

Elementa series Performance

Results show that the Trina Solar Elementa Series system consistently achieved 95.2% DC-Zij-Efficiency and 87.1% Round-trip efficiency at system level, making it one of the most efficient large-scale energy storage systems in operation.

After more than a year in operation, the system retains 98% of the usable capacity, indicating minimum breakdown and strong cycles performance. This long-term reliability supports a reduction of 15-20% in live storage costs (LCOs) compared to industrial averages, which improves project bankability.

“We are proud to see that our technology delivers real value under field conditions,” said Shawn Deng, head of the global product and system integration at Trina Storage. “From cell-to-ac possibilities to validation of third parties, our goal is to build trust through performance. We continue to work with global partners to test the next generation systems in various environments and to offer transparent, data-driven benchmarks for industry.”
