US Electrical Standards Specialist Ul Solutions said in a recent statement that it will expand its HVAC test facilities. The facilities are located in Plano, Texas and Carugate, Italy. The company said it made this decision in response to the growing demand for heat pumps.

“The extensive possibilities in Europe and North America underline our dedication to offer extensive and integrated solutions for the HVAC industry,” said Alessio Dellanoce, vice -president and general director of the Appliances, HVAC and lighting group at UL Solutions. “We streamline the test process for our customers, which reduces their time to market and associated costs and helps them to show that their products meet the highest standards for safety and efficiency.”

The Italian site will focus on European manufacturers of residential and light commercial heat pump. In addition to its existing security services, it will now offer testing for energy consumption during standby and off -modes, the performance measurement and the noise level, in addition to other offers.

The Texas facility includes commercial HVAC performance tests. It also offers cooling medium leakage, restriction, safety construction reviews, global safety tests and evaluations of energy storage, together with other services. In addition, Ul Solutions said that the energy efficiency will test between new configurations on the site.
