Vesper Energy organized a ribbon cutting ceremony on 10 April 2025 to the commercial operation of its flagship energy project, Hornet Solar, which is now fully operational. The event marks an important milestone, not only for Vesper Energy, but also for Texas as a national leader in the production of solar energy.
Hornet Solar includes more than 1.36 million modules and includes more than six square mile in Swisher County, Texas, making it one of the largest solar installations in the country. The project will contribute more than $ 100 million to new tax revenues to Swisher County and 600 MWAC From energy.
“Hornet Solar is proof of how large-scale energy projects can deliver reliable, domestic power to American houses and companies,” said Juan Suarez, co-CEO at Vesper Energy. “This project is not just about solar panels – it is about making energy more affordable while the energy breach of our nation is strengthening. With Hornet Solar fully operational, we help a community with electricity generated in our own country, ensuring that companies and communities have the energy they need to grow and thrive.”
Vesper Energy started the construction of Hornet Solar in the fall of 2023 and announced that it provided $ 590 million in financing to further promote the project in January 2024. Since its foundation, Hornet Solar has reached several large milestones, including the installation of its one -off solar panel in December 2024 and the installation of its last module in January 2025.
“The Hornet Solar scale speaks for itself – 1.36 million panels, more than six square miles and 600 MW capacity. But the real impact is what this project delivers to Swisher County: more than $ 100 million in new tax revenues and meaningful investments in schools, infrastructure and health care,” said Zach Wald, VP of VP.
Hornet Solar generates considerable economic benefits for Swisher County and the surrounding region. The project created more than 300 jobs during construction and will contribute new tax revenues to essential public services, including $ 61 million for the Tulia Independent School District, $ 25 million for the province and $ 12 million for the Swisher Memorial Hospital District.
