The company is planning to invest more than $ 10 million in its Pittsburgh facility, Pennsylvania, to expand the possibilities in its electrification segment. This includes planned financing to accommodate a new domestic production line for the company’s flexioner, an important technology for applications in the field of solar energy and energy storage. The total investment is expected to create more than 270 new jobs, with the new line producing both the 1500V and the 2000V Flex Inverter. GE VERLOVA is also planning to expand gas turbine, nuclear and wind power production in facilities throughout the country, together with the growth of his energy research shub in New York.
The new investments are the first part of a larger cumulative Global Capex and R&D investment plan from $ 9 billion to 2028 that was announced during the investor update of the company on December 10, 2024.
