Esvolta brings 1 GWH from Bess Online in Texas

Developer of energy storage project Esvolta has brought three battery energy storage projects based in Texas online online. Together the portfolio will supply almost 1 GWH of energy and 490 MW peak power – about 4% of the expected 12.2 GW storage capacity of Ercot from July 2025.

The 300-MWH Desert Willow project and the 480-MWH Anole project, both named Nomes that are native to the area, have started supplying energy to the grid to support Dallas. In March 2025 the 200-MWH Burksol facility commercial activities in West-Texas, to support surrounding communities through the connection with the Wind Energy transfer of the Texas grid. All three projects have two hours of expensive Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) systems.

As a developer, owner and operator of these three projects, Esvolta worked together with Sabre Power at Desert Willow and Burksol, and Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group With Anole about engineering, purchasing and construction. To finance the portfolio, Esvolta Work together with Capona LLC for a desired stock of sharewhile Security of construction and term debt financing From a syndicate of lenders led by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG).
