Developer of Schone Energy British Solar Renewables (BSR) has protected a debt facility of £ 345 million for 609 MW of 12 solar and co-location projects for solar and battery energy storage system (Bessomer).

Once operational, the 12 projects were set up to generate 600 GWH of clean electricity each year. This will support the push from the UK to its 2050 Net Zero -Zeurwit and tackle the constant concern about energy security.

Michael Ozersky, Chief Investment Officer of BSR, noticed this as a ‘historical transaction’, said that this financing emphasizes the ‘Power of BSR’s co-location strategy’.

In its second major financing round, BSR has provided a senior structured debt facility of £ 345 million. The deal was supported by a consortium of lenders, including Lloyds, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) and Natwest.

Bracewell LLP served as a legal adviser to BSR for the financing transaction, while Lloyds acted as the only structural bank for the transaction. Tony Hable, managing director at Lloyds, said that this second successful portfolio financing will support the ambitious growth sessions of the company.

In June last year, BSR closed its first portfolio financing round for a five -project portfolio in the United Kingdom and Australia. The sites want to generate 132GWH of solar energy annually. Financing was provided by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Lloyds Bank.

The company has set a daring goal to develop 7,000 MW of renewable capacity by 2027. Recently, BSR has submitted a planning application for a 15MW solar farm Close to Maidstone, Kent. The proposed Harp Farm Solar Park would include 76 hectares and includes biodiversity sizes such as wild flowers and nest boxes for bats, birds and dorms. If approved, it was intended to deliver at least 60% net profit for biodiversity and to be restored after a lifespan of 40 years.

Moreover, BSR launched a community consultation For the proposed Hooton Pagnell Renewable Park near Doncaster in June 2025. The project, planned to tension 94 hectares in South Yorkshire, has a 49.9 MW solar PV factory and a 30 MW battery storage system. It aims to support the goals of the local resilience and sustainability of local energy resistance.

In addition, BSR approved the planning for four British solar projects in 2024, including the 21MWP Park Farm and Town Farm Solar Parks in Suffolk, the 19mw Dergie Solar Park in Essex and the 49.9 MW Knowl Green Solar Park, also in Essex.
