BIPV specialist Roofit.Solar has introduced a new series of tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) solar panels for residential applications. The Velario Slim product line is available in two versions with a power of 120 W and 180 W.

“The narrow 470mm effective roof coverage of the Velario Slim panels is similar to the 550mm size of the Velario, but retains the defining features of the original product: a discreet, Scandinavian design that suits any property without compromising to its aesthetic appeal, exceptional levels of resistance to harsh weather conditions and a simple 2-in-1 installation process,” the company said in a statement.

The panels feature TOPCon cells arranged in a 2×12 layout for the 120W model and a 2×18 layout for the 180W model. Both versions feature 3.2 mm tempered front glass with a low iron content and 0.5 mm galvanized steel with a black coated back plate. The 120W panel delivers an efficiency of 18.6%, while the 180W model achieves an efficiency of 19.3%.

“Our other products already perform well when it comes to energy efficiency, but with the Velario Slim we can cover even more roof space and generate even more free energy,” said CEO Andres Anijalg. “This will be particularly important for small or irregular roofs, which are often at greatest risk of leaving exposed areas as these remaining spaces are too small to fit the larger panels.”

Both models have an effective width of 470mm, with the 180W panel measuring 2,044mm long and the 120W version measuring 1,402mm. Both operate between -40 C and 85 C, require a 50 mm vent and can withstand hailstones up to 25 mm. The company offers a 25-year power warranty and a 10-year product warranty.

Installers in Europe and the UK can order the panels now, with first deliveries expected in June 2025.
