More than 1.8 million storage systems for solar energy on solar energy, with a cumulative capacity of 15 GWH are installed in Germany, almost a third of them last year.

Researchers from the Berlin University of Applied Sciences (HTW) want to use that battery fleet to help the grid, and have launched a your electricity storage can do more! campaign.

The researchers say that many of those 1.8 million units on energy-consumption-forecast-based “intelligent charging” can work with only a few clicks, with the result that “the battery storage systems last longer, prevent bottlenecks in the Power Grid on sunny days and, moreover, relieving the federal budget annually.”
