Greenpowermonitor (GPM), a DNV company, has introduced considerable progress in the solutions for energy management, designed to meet important challenges in renewable integration; These innovations support the transition from peak power from fossil driven to hybrid plants, while providing grid stability.

The updates include:

  • Hybrid energy management system (Hems), which makes seamless coordination between PV and battery storage possible, optimizing the internal current current for efficiency, cost effectiveness and compliance with the grid.
  • Improved energy management system (EMS), improving the storage performance of the battery by optimizing the energy shipping, extending the lifespan of the assets and maintaining the reliability of the network.

“The future grid is on energy storage and hybrid systems,” said Juan Carlos Arévalo, CEO of GreenPowermonitor. “With falling battery prices, our improved Hems and EMS solutions help to benefit renewable factories from this turning point. By combining GPMs 25 years of expertise in the field of renewable energy sources with DNV’s 5,000+ energy consultants, we deliver the solutions that are needed to eliminate fossil backups.”

Technologies such as energy storage improve the reliability of the network by guaranteeing the availability of energy, regardless of circumstances. The newest Hems system is aimed at transforming the landscape of renewable energy. The GPM Hems solution ensures the reliability and efficiency of the hybrid project by maintaining compliance with the network and optimizing the performance of photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

The GPM EMS system is a supplement to these possibilities by improving overall system efficiency, maximizing the performance of the Bess and maintaining seamless grid integration.
