Indji Systems has released an update for its hailmonitoring and warning platform Indji Watch Follow the improvements through his R&D team. The new system delivers faster, more precisely lump detection and expands the coverage to support solar operators in the United States, Canada and Australia.

With hail showers that pose an increasing threat to solar assets on Utility scale, this release introduces important possibilities to improve both the speed and the accuracy of warnings. With a new configurable hail message zone around each solar site, Indji watch can now check a defined area after the limit of the Activum -giving operators earlier warning to approach hail and more time to take protective action.

“These improvements reflect a ground-up reconsideration of how hail threats should be detected and delivered to solar operators,” said Adam Hender, CEO of Indji Systems. “Our R&D team has considerably expanded the possibilities of the system to help our customers act earlier and with more confidence.”

The upgraded system also integrates several new weather sources for weather area for wider global coverage and more frequent updates. With this Multi-Source approach, Indji Watch can be able to better follow rapidly changing storm conditions and offer more timely warnings to site operators.

To further support the real-time response, Indji watch contains the option to configure audible alarms for environments of the control room, so that critical hail warnings are immediately noticed. All information about the hail threat is also available via the Indji Watch API, which means that integration with external solar tracking systems for automatic panel storage during hail events is possible.
