Enray Power, a PV operator of Zonne-PV, has reached financial closure for its 68.5 MWp solar energy power plant together with a 24MWH battery energy storage system (BESS).

Project financing, purchasing and purchasing agreements for Camblesforth Solar Farm van Enray have been carried out and the construction is underway. The project is Enray’s first co-located Bess and PV Asset.

The development is near Selby in North Yorkshire. Currently, the largest operational tanning factory in Yorkshire is the 55 MW Sceby project that is owned and is managed by Atrato Onsite Energy.

Senior debt financing has been agreed with the Dutch Bank Rabobank, which recently committed financing in the direction of the solar development of Aukera Energy. The agreement with Rabobank is based on multiple facilities and will make the delivery of the project possible in total, without investments from third parties

After the founding in 2020, Enray was supported by Omnes Capital, a private equity company that focuses on the energy transition, which is the majority of the company.

Enray also cooperates with financial advisers Akereos Capital, who offered services for debt advice, book ringing and structuring services. Developer Tagenergy previously collaborated with Akeereos, who was bookrunner, structurer and exclusive debt consultant, Van Tagennergy via a green bond of € 570 million (£ 487 million).

Akereos also arranged the Power Contracting Agreement (PPA) and Bess optimization agreements with a “leading multinational organization”.

The company cannot make any more detail public about the transactions, Solar -Energy Portal heard.

Enray also said that the data from Aurora Energy Research used to optimize the Bess integration. Legal advice for financing was provided to Enray by Independent UK Law Firm Burges Salmon LLP.

Enray Power, which develops, owns and operates the assets of renewable energy in the UK, wants to become a leading independent power producer (IPP) in the UK. It has a 1.5 GW pipeline of advanced stage solar and storage projects. Currently, the only project under construction is the Camblesforth Solar Farm.
