The updated Solar Supply Chain card from India Published by Sinovoltaics, an international operational quality assurance company with headquarters in Hong Kong, indicates the module capacity of 68.4 GW, cell capacity on 24.56 GW and INGOTS on 14 GW.

171 Solar PV factory sites were mapped in the new India Solar Supply Chain Map for 2025That information contains about the capacity, location, owner and planned output of each factory.

The analysts noticed the emerging role of the country as an exporter of solar energy, in which companies such as Vikram Solar and Tata Power expand to the United States.

The production of domestic module is at 68.4 GW, whereby the growth army will be directed by 2030 by 120 GW. “The production of solar cells is currently at 24.6 GW and it is expected to be 65 GW within the same time frame,” said the analysts, adding that Ingot production has been set to doubles 14 GW to 28 GW, while Polysilicon -Expansion is reserved by global prices.

“India quickly becomes a global hub for solar production and export.

Note that the country had only 3 GW in 2017 in cell capacity and 8 GW for modules, the analysts mainly granted the growth to government stimuli, such as production-linked stimulans (PLI) schemes and strategic import tasks, but the dependence on imported raw materials and advanced production equipment was marked as an example of an example “”

The Sinovoltaics Supply Chain Map series contains reports about production hubs in Europe, Southeast Asia and North America. It follows the production locations for PV modules, cells, waffles, ingot, polysilicon and silicon with metallurgical quality, including locations that are closed or where the capacity is on hold.

The data comes from publicly available sources, as well as the contacts of Sinovoltaics with manufacturers. The figures represent the capacity of the type plate.
