The portfolio managed by the British BESS investor Gresham House Energy Storage Fund on the British utility company has reached 1GW operational capacity.
This makes Gresham House Energy Storage Fund (Grid) the first British company that reaches 1GW Operational Bess activa.
The completion of the 1,072 MW/1,1701MWH portfolio of the British fund was completed on 7 August with the energy of its second largest active, the 87 MW/174mWh West Bradford Bess.
This followed on the basis of the 40MW/80mWh Shilton Lane project, near Glasgow, which came online in July. Since the release of its 2024 interim results, the Grid has delivered 282 MW and 770MWH of operational assets.

“We now want to spend this momentum to the rest of the year and focus on building the next phase of augmentations and new pipeline projects.”
In June it completed one Equity financing of third parties of £ 8.6 million To finance the expansion of the combined 50 MW Glassenbury projects up to a duration of 2.2 hours, which will be completed in December of this year.
Gast has committed the investment firm to undertake seven Augmentations in 2025 and early 2026, funded by the refinancing of Grid. In the run -up to the milestone of capacity, Grid is aimed at guaranteeing income from his assets, through financing agreements and augmentation.
In July it went in Long -term floor price agreements with counterparties Statkraft and Markel Bermudaa total of 789 MW, followed by a third series of long -term agreements with floor prices with EDF Energy Covered 737 MW.
After the first two deals, Grid said that the floors are the key to unlocking affordable conditions for the previously announced new debt facility and that the refinancing will make it possible for existing projects, a revised dividend policy and new pipeline construction.
Between 2025 and 2027, the agreement with power generation and Handelsbureau Statkraft will take effect after an expansion of the assets to at least 2 hours.
