Taly has completed his first auction for battery storage capacity on the roster scale, which means that all 10 GWH is offered under the new Macse schedule (Meccanismo di Apprvigionamento di Capacità di Stoccaggio elettrico or electricity storage capacity).

The tender was held on 30 September for an average price of only € 12,959 per MWh per year, far below the reserve price of € 37,000 per MWh per year set by system operator Terna.

The interest of developers was strong, with bids that entered the available capacity more than four times.

The prices varied somewhat in the four regions that were included in the auction, with the central south of € 14,566 per MWh per year, South and Calabria for € 12,146/m
