Fronius and MidNite Solar have announced that company testing has been completed, showing that the products are fully compatible Fronius GEN24 string inverter and Midnite Rosie battery inverter.

The efficiency of the GEN24 string inverter allows self-consumption, while the AC-coupled Midnite battery inverter gives homeowners the option to connect a low-voltage DC battery to keep lights on during critical power conditions.

Advantages of AC coupling:

  • Easy to retrofit into existing systems
  • There is no need to add a separate solar panel
  • Supports future expansion of battery-based OR string inverter systems

The two companies will hold a webinar next year January 15 to discuss linking the two inverters for projects.
