Adaptation renewable energy sources (ARI) begins work on two 128 MWdc projects in central Illinois. The projects are expected to start later this year and commercial operation is expected in early 2026. ARI says the projects will create more than 300 jobs and have more than $250 million in economic impact for local communities during construction.

Adjustment selected Alberici as a contractor for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC). Founded in 1918 in St. Louis, Alberici is a construction company serving the civil, energy, institutional, commercial, heavy industrial, manufacturing, water/wastewater and automotive industries. Alberici ranks as the 39th largest domestic builder (Engineering News-Record, May 2023) with annual revenues exceeding $4 billion.

“Alberici has a long history in renewable energy and will work with utilities, industries and developers to deliver clean and reliable energy for decades to come,” said Peter Kozicz, CEO of Alberici Corporation. “We are proud to partner with ARI to improve renewable clean energy infrastructure in Illinois and create hundreds of new construction jobs in the area.”

While the projects would include sufficient capacity to power more than 34,250 homes, the electricity generated by the projects will be purchased by a leading social technology company through an Environmental Attributes Purchase Agreement.

The coordination of the projects will be managed and implemented by Alberici in combination with resources from its subsidiary Flintco Renewable Energy.
