Investor Ampyr Distributed Energy (ADE) has adopted developer Eden Sustainable from Renewable Energy Solutions.

Eden is a developer in the commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable space in the UK and offers an end-to-end service with its solar solutions. It will retain its brand, team and head office after the takeover, which will offer ADE strategic support to the company.

The acquisition leaves Jamie Brimblecombe and Justin Army as Joint Managing Director Van Eden. The deal also sees the founder of Eden, Steve Baker, staying at the company in “A Avice Capacity” for three years. Eden was founded in 2014 and completed in 2018 and completed one of the first controversial subsidy-free commercial solar PV installations.

The ADE model offers companies in the field of solar energy and battery energy storage installations without prior costs, financed via Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). It offers financing to more than 20 renewable developers in the United Kingdom and Europe and has more than 50 MW capacity for renewable energy in more than 50 locations in the UK.

The company recently saw a 224 kW roof solar -Array installing with exotic mushroom producer Smithy Mushrooms’ Lancashire HQ.

ADE was founded in January 2024, launched by Singapore-Hoofdquartered AGP Group with an initial capital obligation of a maximum of £ 100 million. Last week it achieved a debt facility of £ 170 million with the French financial Major Crédit Agricole CIB, which can be attracted to construction and operational costs.

The news comes shortly after ADE’s CEO John Behan wrote to energy secretary Ed Miliband and GB Energy Chair Juergen Maier to emphasize the role that investors in the private sector can play in supplementing government financing, which promises to match the £ 180 million in the public sector in the state -owned company in the state -owned company in the state -owned company.

“This acquisition enables ADE to support more of our partners with the development opportunities of Eden, as well as our prior sales and project delivery options to meet the growing demand for renewable solutions on site.”
