Array Technologies has expanded Smart rack Software to include back tracking and diffuse optimization options for his Array Sti H250 Tracker with double row. This progress brings algorit met training and optimization aids, already proven on the Duratrack Platform, to H250 installations in Europe and other global markets.

“Our H250 tracker has long been a trusted solution in markets with challenging site conditions, and the addition of SmartRack -Backtracking and Diffuse brings his performance to a higher level,” said Neil Manning, President and Chief Operating Officer of Array Technologies. “By applying algorithmic training and real-time sensor data, we enable our customers to optimize their solar energy output in more regions and more terrain types, which ultimately improves project trend.”

The H250 tracker has been developed to tackle the challenges of irregular terrain, is used on a large scale in Europe, South America and Africa. With the addition of SmartRack -Backtracking and Diffuse, project developers and assets -owners can now further improve energy production in complex environments and variable weather conditions. These tools help trackers automatically adjust to minimize the shade and maximize the light absorption, even on cloudy days.

  • Array SmartRack -Backtracking Uses algorithmic training and site analysis and production data to reduce the shade and to maximize the energy generation of morning and evening. The system fits each engine in an intelligent way based on its unique slope characteristics, which leads to persistent improvements in the energy yield. Once optimized, backtracking parameters remain valid for the life of the project.
  • Array SmartRack diffuse This allows projects to continue to perform at a high level during cloudy circumstances. By analyzing real-time global horizontal irradiation (GHI) sensor data, the system dynamically finishes the tracker-angles to capture more spread light, which increases energy formation when direct sunlight is limited.

These options are validated in Spain and Brazil and are available for immediate commitment to new and existing H250 projects. In combination with Array’s hardware and integrated software platform, SmartRack currently optimizes more than 5 GW of solar capacity worldwide.
