Marex Group, a global financial services platform active in the energy, commodity and financial markets, is expanding its energy and environmental services through a digital marketplace for the purchase and sale of sustainable energy credits between business buyers and project developers. Marex This application is part of Neon, Marex’s customer-facing technology suite, which now allows property developers to list their tax credits and buyers to research the projects that meet their tax needs. Marex matches both sides of the transaction based on pricing, timing and commercial terms, and guides buyers and sellers through closing and signing. No fees will be…
In a new weekly update for pv magazineSolcast, a DNV company, reports that Europe’s solar power generation potential showed a strong east-west split in November, with Eastern Europe experiencing irradiance 15 to 20% below normal due to persistent storms, while much of Western and Central Europe recorded 15 to 20% above average levels under brighter conditions. The Atlantic coast was an exception, as Storm Claudia reduced insolation to near or below average in Portugal, the British Isles and parts of France and Spain. December 19, 2025 Solar power generation potential across Europe showed a clear divide between east and west…
SEVEN introduces the newly developed Class A Thermopile Pyranometer – an advanced solution designed for highly accurate monitoring of solar radiation in PV installations, meteorological stations and research applications.SEVEN Sensor Solutions: a global leader in sensor technology SEVEN Sensor Solutions is a leading manufacturer of high quality sensors mainly designed to monitor the performance of PV installations (photovoltaic installations). As a company specialized in sensor production, SEVEN has successfully expanded into other areas, including meteorological and silo-related applications. Seal solar energy is in the final stages of construction of a 13.05 MW array Baptist Healththe largest private, not-for-profit healthcare organization based in Arkansas. This array is one of the largest non-utility scale systems installed in Arkansas. Seal Solar is installing 22,300 double-sided solar panels on 49 hectares of a former rice farm. “Baptist Health is excited to be part of this new solar farm – a step toward generating cleaner, more sustainable energy while lowering costs,” said Brent Beaulieu, CFO of Baptist Health. “This project reflects our commitment to being a greener organization and builds on our strong…
This week, Women in Solar+ Europe presents Sonia de Sales, director of development at the Spanish Altano Energy. She emphasizes that the implementation of an equal opportunities plan is crucial to ensure open and fair recruitment, including balanced shortlists and actively recruiting female candidates where they are under-represented, while hiring on merit and making this clearly visible. December 19, 2025 Women in Solar+ Europe When asked why the solar, energy storage, EV charging, and grid infrastructure industries are especially in need of gender diversity and inclusion, I always start with the same point: these industries, like all others, benefit significantly…
Researchers from the National University of Singapore (NUS) have developed a vapor deposition process that significantly improves the long-term and high-temperature stability of perovskite-silicon (Si) tandem solar cells. The work demonstrates vapor deposition on micrometer-textured industrial silicon wafers, matching the wafer structures used in commercial solar energy production and bringing tandem devices closer to real-world use. The process enables conformal, high-quality perovskite layers on micrometer-scale textured silicon wafers, meeting a key requirement for mass production. The tandem cells achieve an energy conversion efficiency of more than 30 percent and maintain operational stability after 2,000 hours, including a T90 lifespan of…
Nova Power & Gas’s 400 MWh project in Cluj province is the largest battery energy storage system (BESS) connected to the Romanian electricity grid to date. December 17, 2025 Blathnaid O’Dea Image: Minister of Energy, Facebook By ESS news The largest BESS to date in Romania, with a capacity of 200 MW/400 MWh, has been commissioned in Cluj County by private investor Nova Power & Gas. Romanian Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan welcomed the investment, calling this and other major battery developments “exactly the kind of projects Romania needs to modernize its energy system and safely integrate more and more renewable…
The research group led by Professor Martin Green has not yet published version 67 of the solar cell efficiency tables due to production delays. However, Green has accepted to comment on some of the results that will be added in the upcoming edition. December 19, 2025 Emiliano Bellini Professor Martin Green from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Australia has revealed that version 67 of the “Solar Cell Efficiency Tables” will not be published in January. Progress in photovoltaics as planned. “The change is due to production delays that have prevented the January issue of the magazine from…
OutBack power will partner with New York-based lithium battery manufacturer Near Prime Technologies (NPT) to offer a domestic supply of battery systems for residential and commercial energy storage. NPT and cell company C4V will provide OutBack systems with BMLMP cells (BioMineralized Lithium Mixed Metals Phosphate). The cells are UL 1973 and UL 1642 certified and have completed UL 9540A testing. Under the contract, OutBack will integrate C4V’s BMLMP cell technology, manufactured in the United States by NPT, into OutBack’s storage products. The assembly and commercialization of the final systems will be driven by OutBack Power as a full-scale residential energy…
In a new weekly update for pv magazineOPIS, a Dow Jones company, provides a brief overview of the major price trends in the global PV industry. December 19, 2025 OPIS Chinese TOPCon cell prices fell this week, despite increasingly positive sentiment among market sources who expect prices to find support in the coming weeks. According to the OPIS Solar Weekly Report published on December 16, FOB China TOPCon M10 cell prices were assessed 1.06% lower at $0.0374/W, with price guidance between $0.0364-0.0387/W.
