Framatome and eternic atomics to scale up the production of space for future missions Framatome and perpetual Atomics have formalized a new strategic partnership via a memorandum of agreement (MOU), with the aim of scaling up the production of Americium-based radio isto power systems, often referred to as “space batteries”. Signed during the Farnborough International Space Show, the Agreement sketches a joint effort to promote the industrial processing of Americium into sealed sources for radio -Isotope heating units (RHUS) and Radio -Sotoop Thermoelectric generators (RTGs). These power systems, which generate heat due to the natural decay of radio isotopes, can…

Scientists in Saudi Arabia have simulated a solar energy-driven single-effect absorption system that uses water-lithium bromide as a work fluid, under the environmental conditions of Riyadh. Exergy and exergy speeds are calculated for each level of the system, where optimum generator performance is found to peak at 80 C. March 25, 2025 Lior Kahana A researcher of Saudi Arabia’s University of Ha’il has performed an exergy and energy analysis of a PV-driven single-effect Absorptic System (SEAC) that uses water-lithium bromide (Hepero-Libr) as the working liquid pair. The working liquid couple is a central part of a SAC, with heat instead…
