Beety has been selected by Doral renewable energy sources As the EPC for the last three phases of the 1.3-GW Mammoth Solar Project in Indiana. The first phase, Mammoth North (400 MW), was completed last year. Bechtel will build 900 MW in Mammoth South, Mammoth Central I and Mammoth Central II.

“Bechtel is proud to work with Doral to deliver one of the largest solar projects in the country,” said Scott Austin, general manager of Renewables & Clean Power. “A project of this scale depends on a strong collaboration with local building trade to gain access to the necessary skilled workforce. We work closely with artisan professionals, create high-quality jobs and are a reliable partner for the community while helping to deliver Mammoet solar energy and the range of clean, reliable solar energy.”

“Thanks to the meticulous planning and cooperation in recent months, we are now ready to go into construction confidence,” says Amit Nadkarni, Doral Renewables SVP of Project & Asset Management. “We continue to work deeply for the highest standards for safety, quality and the environment in this phase. We are aimed at promoting strong community relationships, guaranteeing meaningful local participation of the workforce and the sellers and supporting the county through direct, indirect and induced economic benefits.”

Bechtel said that at least half of the solar panels used in these three phases will be in America. At Peak Construction, the project is expected to create more than 1,200 jobs, including at least 15% devoted to student places that offer practical training for young professionals and newcomers in the construction sector.

When completed in 2027, Doral Renewables will implement Agrivoltaics initiatives on the entire site, including the integration of livestock grazing on site and crushed around the panels. With this technique for double use, local landowners can continue with agricultural activities and maximizing land use.
