Bluetti focuses on home backup with refrigerator-centric battery system – SPE

Bluetti says its FridgePower system offers a plug-and-play battery solution designed to keep refrigerators and important home appliances running during power outages, without permanent installation.

In homes there have been mainly two types of large batteries.

The first is a major residential energy option, often linked to solar: think many kilowatt hours of storage via a Tesla Powerwall, with increasing options for homeowners through modular and scalable designs. Yet these are basically installed in place, do not move anymore and have a high initial cost.

Then there is portable power. Battery banks started the idea of ​​backup power, and preppers helped advance this when they were paired with solar as a power plant. These battery types have become mainstream and are occasionally used as standalones in times when backups are needed. Think Bluetti, EcoFlow, Anchor Solix, and Jackery as the big four in this room.

Now these companies and others are considering more modular power supplies, which are placed throughout the home and yet are at least somewhat portable. The flow of EcoFlow series offers these types of options in some parts of the world, including Europe
